Blue Fluted Half Lace Square Plate 21 cm
-
Detail
The angular shape of this Blue Fluted Half Lace Square Plate makes for a beautiful meeting of modern and classic. The half lace shape introduced by artistic director Arnold Krog in 1888, elegantly unfolds on the surface of the porcelain and the corners have been slightly rounded to make room for the lace ornaments.
Blue Fluted Half Lace is adorned with delicate lace, elegantly framing the hand-painted motif and charming details of the collection such as snail shells on lids and handles. The collection is a beautiful and classic example of the Royal Copenhagen craftsmanship - it takes 1,197 brush strokes – no more, no less – to paint a Blue Fluted Half Lace dinner plate.
